Karen studied Zoology at Oxford University and, as well as running the cattery, she runs The CAT Spa, a busy Cat Grooming service. If you want to pamper your cat, then this is the place to do it!
As well as running the cattery, Kim runs CAT-astrophes, a busy Feline Behaviour Consultancy. She graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a First Class BSc (Hons) in Applied Psychology. She then went to the University of Southampton and completed a post-graduate degree course in Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling, graduating in 2005. She is currently writing her MSc thesis on how the cat-owner relationship impacts on feline obesity. Kim is a Full Member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC) and a member of the Association for the Study of Animal Behaviour.
Karen and Kim Houston-James own and run Eastham Woods Boarding Cattery and are trained in cattery management by the FAB and hold Animal First Aid Certificates. We have many years experience owning and working with cats and other companion animals and we are dedicated to providing the highest levels of loving, professional care and promoting the welfare of the cats in our care.
We have eight happy cats of our own and two happy little dogs. Most of our Customers have met most of our menagerie.......but you can take a look at them here on the Our Gang! page!!
