Wellbeing & Health

We pride ourselves on making sure that your cat's stay is a positive & healthy experience and our eating, health and cleaning  routines are an important part of the service we offer you.

Cat and Food

Dietary Requirements

We feed your cat with the same wet and/or dry food that he/she enjoys at home and, with your permission, we also offer treats of fish, prawns and meat. Regular mealtimes are adhered to. Adult cats are fed twice a day whereas kittens, seniors and those with special needs are fed according to their requirements.

Special diets are catered for, normally at no extra cost, and although prescription diets can be maintained during your cat's stay with us, please bring this food with you.

Cat health

Medication

We are happy to accommodate cats on medication. We can administer pills either orally or in food and we are very experienced in caring for diabetic cats including those requiring insulin injections.

Please do contact us to discuss your specific needs and we will do our utmost to meet your requirements.

Please note: Your cat's inoculations for Feline Infectious Enteritis and Upper Respiratory Infections (Cat 'Flu) mustbe up to date. We will ask to see the vaccination certificate before your cat can holiday with us.

Health & Wellbeing

Karen the proprietor, is trained in Animal First Aid. If we feel that your cat needs to see a vet while staying with us, we will always contact your own vet. We also have a local vet on call.

We take a great deal of care to ensure that our facility remains a safe haven from fleas and worms. We ask you to ensure that your cat's flea and worming treatment programme is up to date.

We pride ourselves on our hygiene standards and our cleaning  routines are an important part of the service we offer you. We use top quality cat litter as standard and litter trays are cleaned at least twice a day. When a cat leaves us, the chalet is thoroughly cleaned, disinfected and all equipment sterilised.
